Hey beauties! It’s Whitney and I’m back with another curly hair tutorial. This is a little remix to how I would normally do my flat twist and flexi rod set. I started with freshly washed and conditioned hair, detangled with leave in conditioner and separated into sections.

Starting at the back of my head, I twisted my hair into 4 individual twists and curled each end around a flexi rod. (you should have 2 rods per twist). This will give that small ringlet curl look. After I finish the back, I flat twist the rest of my hair around my head, framing my face.

My hair is about bra strap length when stretched, so I made sure to curl my hair all the way up to my shoulders and around my forehead in order for it to frame my face once my hair is dry and I take the rollers out.

I used the Laila Ali bonnet dryer to dry my hair before taking the rods out. Take the rods out gently in an unwinding motion (do not pull). With a little coconut oil on your hands, gently separate the curls. You can pick your hair out for volume. I use a couple of bobby pins to hold my hair in place, creating a faux bang. And I’m all done!
